Celebration III Report

Indianopolis, Indiana hosted Star Wars Celebration III Convention from April 21-24, and Annie and I attended on the 23rd. Before anyone points any fingers, let me assure you that Annie came there totally willingly. I did not force her in any way to come to this dork-fest.

We arrived at about 11am, and started getting our picture taken with the costumed fans.

There was a ton of stuff do at Celebration III: meet the actors, build dioramas, talk with other fans, hang out in the massive dealer room, wait in line for hours, etc. Since we were only staying one day, we just decided to see as many things as we could without staying in line for too long.

I was able to meet up with Frank, the webmaster of NiubNiub's Universe, and Annie snapped a few photos of his dioramas on display, as well as ones fans built at the event.

This MASSIVE AT-AT was made out of foamcore or something.

This man was frightening. Annie was going to ask him to choke her, but she got too scared when she posed for the picture.

Cingular was giving away a Vader Viper.

Nils with Han Solo! They were great to see, but their personalities were a little flat. Yuck, yuck.
