The 2007 NibCrom Central Awards - Lifetime Achievement Award
April 6, 2007

Every year, the NibCrom Central Awards gives the very prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to one very deserving...thing. This...is one such thing.

Lifetime Achievement Award:

Star Wars Customizable Card Game
Now I'm sure some people will tell you that the best trading or customizable card game ever is Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon, but we all know nothing can beat Decipher's Star Wars. What other game let's you pit Darth Maul against an Ewok? Or an AT-AT against Jar Jar Binks? This game allows you to recreate just about every single moment from the Original Trilogy and The Phantom Menace, and plenty of moments unique to the card game. Sadly, the Star Wars license was given to Wizards of the Coast before Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were released, so you'll have to make your own versions of Count Dooku and Republic Gunships to play with. Still, the vast number of cards released from Decipher assure that two games are never the same, and gives it a depth of strategy, both before and during, that no other game can match.
